we asked the consumerhow he was able to keep the system in such good shape, and he tancient us, flat out, that the system wouldn’t have lasted this long if he hadn’t had it installed by a reliable heating and cooling company and if he hadn’t had seasonly tune ups performed on the system religiously. this is very true. we have seen very expensive systems go down hill very fast when the houseowner neglected to care for the system properly

after 35 seasons of faithful service this consumerwouldn’t settle for anything less than a new lennox warmthing as a replacement for their ancient lennox system. if it were my house, i would have made the same decision. if i knew for a fact that a certain warmthing manufacturer created reliable systems, i wouldn’t settle for some other brand.

when a furnace is capable of 2-stage furnace, it has both a high and low setting. on days that are mild but still require heat, the furnace will operate at the lower setting. the system will still be able to meet the temperature requirements for the house, but it will do so by burning less gas than your typical one-stage furnace. the furnace will only use the high setting when the temperature outside drops low enough to require the higher output.
